RPMI in RPMI-1640 stands for Roswell Park Memorial Institute, which developed a cell culture medium. Originally designed specifically for lymphocyte culture, this medium has been widely used in the culture of various normal cells and cancer cells, especially suspended cells, and is one of the most widely used media.

 

 

 

This product contains many kinds of amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts and other ingredients needed for cell culture, without protein or growth factors, and needs to be used with 5-10% serum or no serum additives according to the type of cell.

 

 

 

This product was filtered by 0.1 μm membrane for sterilization, pH 7.0-7.4, containing 11.1 mM D-glucose, adding 2.05 mM GLUTamax-I, containing phenol red indicator, without sodium pyruvate, without HEPES buffer system.

 

 

 

Glutamax-i (L-alanyl-L-glutamine) is a cell culture additive that can replace medium moles of L-glutamine in cell media. The substance is very stable in aqueous solution and does not spontaneously degrade. Instead, it is slowly degraded by a peptidase secreted by cells to release glutamine, which is then taken up by cells.
